The V Word is a community of women veterans from every branch and rank of the UK military. Our mission is to advocate for our members and inspire them to achieve their goals through support and education. We strive to foster an inclusive, safe and welcoming environment for all women veterans.
Our Programs
At The V Word, we offer a range of programs to support our members' physical and mental health, personal development, and social connections. Our programs are designed specifically for women veterans and include, personal development workshops, events, and peer support groups.
Peer Support
Recognising the value of social connections, we provide an array of online peer support workshops and online meet ups, such as our monthly meet up Brew Break, all readily accessible on our events page.
We also have community forums within our exclusive members area, which is free for all veterans to join, to help our members build meaningful relationships with other women veterans. Members are also encouraged to start their own groups to meet individual needs.

This programme will allow you to focus on your specific objectives and career aspirations over a 3-6 month period.
This free bespoke 1:1 programme pairs you with a coach selected to meet your needs, exploring skill development and ensuring you approach your professional future with confidence.
We strongly believe in the transformative power of coaching for personal and professional growth.
With experienced coaches who are dedicated to helping you overcome challenges and achieve your goals, recognising and addressing the unique hurdles women veterans may encounter.

Mentoring
At The V Word, in collaboration with the RFS Career Academy, we take immense pride in being able to foster a supportive community tailored for women veterans.

It is designed to be delivered over a 6-month period offering support and propelling you forward professionally.
Engage in this FREE bespoke 1:1 programme with a mentor specifically selected to meet your needs, equipped with industry experience and knowledge, serving in an advisory capacity.
